2025 Steel & Stone Series Updates
NOTE: We’re in the process of overhauling the website, so a few things are out of date. This post has the most recent information on Steel & Stone.
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Chase the Dark, my debut novel, every book in the Steel & Stone universe is getting new ebooks, paperbacks, audiobooks, and special edition hardcovers!
Revisiting the world a whole decade after its release, I wanted to enrich and expand on the stories to create an exciting reading experience for old fans and new readers. The Spell Weaver trilogy got some extra polish and small revisions, and Chase the Dark (out now!) and the rest of the Steel & Stone series will include new POVs, new scenes, and more overall revisions. Feed the Flames (S&S #3.5) and the Steel & Stone Collection (S&S #6) will be incorporated into the main S&S books.
To prepare for these new editions, the original ebooks, audiobooks, and paperbacks of Spell Weaver and Steel & Stone are no longer available on Amazon and other retailers.
If you want the original ebooks, a legacy bundle with the original Steel & Stone ebooks (including Feed the Flames and the companion collection) is available on my book shop. However, transitioning between the legacy and 10th Anniversary Editions will be a bumpy read, so I don’t recommend it for new readers of the series. With the revisions and added POVs, my new recommended reading order is to start with the Spell Weaver trilogy for a more complete reading experience.

About the 10th Anniversary Special Edition Hardcovers
A limited number of extra copies of the 10th Anniversary Special Edition Hardcovers of the Spell Weaver trilogy and Chase the Dark will be available on my book shop soon! The rest of Steel & Stone will receive matching special edition hardcovers (date TBD).

Frequently Asked Questions
Where’s the rest of the Steel & Stone series? I can’t find them on Amazon/Audible/book retailers.
- I unpublished the original Spell Weaver and Steel & Stone books to prepare for the new editions. The rest of the series (Bind the Soul and onward) will be released as I finish updating the stories.
- The original Steel & Stone books are available as a legacy bundle (including Feed the Flames and Steel & Stone #6) on my book shop. However, jumping from the new Chase the Dark to the old Bind the Soul will be a bumpy transition, so I don’t recommend it for new readers of the series.
I can’t find the Spell Weaver or Steel & Stone ebooks/audiobooks I already purchased! What happened to them?
- Although the original titles are no longer available to purchase on Amazon/Audible, titles you already purchased should remain in your content library.
- If you can’t find them, try this:
- Check your Amazon account from a browser instead of the Kindle reading app.
- Check your purchase history. If they’re in your purchase history but not in your content library, contact Amazon/Audible support to have the titles restored to your content library.
- Note: Authors can’t delete titles from readers’ devices, nor can we fix account issues. You need to talk to Amazon or Audible support.
I already have the old editions. Do I need to buy the new editions or will my versions be automatically updated?
- If you purchased the old versions from Amazon, the ebooks will not change. You’ll need to buy the new editions to read the revised versions.
How much have the stories changed in the new editions? Is it worth buying them again?
- The new Spell Weaver editions have only minor changes to the story.
- Chase the Dark has been heavily revised and includes new scenes and POVs, as will the rest of the Steel & Stone series.
Are the original ebooks/paperbacks/audiobooks available anywhere?
- A legacy bundle for Steel & Stone is available exclusively on my book shop. (including Feed the Flames and Steel & Stone #6). However, jumping from the new Chase the Dark to the old Bind the Soul will be a bumpy transition, so I don’t recommend it for new readers of the series.
- If you borrowed the original ebooks from Kindle Unlimited before I unpublished them, they will stay in your library until you return them. After that, they will no longer be available to you.
- The original paperbacks and audiobooks are no longer available anywhere.
When will the Steel & Stone sequel series, Blackfire, be released?
- I’m planning to write Blackfire as my next project after I finish revising and releasing the Steel & Stone 10th Anniversary Editions.
