Red Winter “Kitsune Edition” Hardcover Omnibus
After selling out all 3000 copies of the exclusive Red Winter Kickstarter special edition, there was so much love for Red Winter (and cries for more copies) that I couldn’t just leave it there. So, I’m happy to reveal the Red Winter Kitsune Edition Hardcover available for pre-order January 9, 2026!
I love this edition. I love the original black one too, THIS FABRIC. The way it shimmers. The new features of this edition were inspired by Shiro—spider lilies on the front and a kyubi no kitsune on the back (if you know, you know), an alternate “foxfire” design for the printed edges, and white fabric on the hardcover. The fabric shimmers like snow, and I’m obsessed. Holding it is so wild. It’s crazy how different it feels to the black edition. (If you’re scared of white fabric because stains, this fabric is not absorbent. You can wipe it off.)
Minus a few tweaks, the inside of the Kitsune Edition (including endpapers, illustrations, epilogue, and the Prince of Shadows short story) is the same as the Kickstarter special edition. I’ll be selling it on my shop with a pre-order (see below) and to be clear: this isn’t a “hurry before it sells out” edition. It’s a “please buy it so I can park my car in my garage again” edition, and when we run out of stock, I can order more.
Here are some more details:
- The Kitsune Edition will be available exclusively on my book shop for $130 CAD / ~$99 USD plus shipping, taxes, and other applicable fees.
